astudio and Elliott Wood are the architects and engineers currently involved in the refurbishment of The Kingston Academy which just started on site. This month, Viola Maffessanti, Lucia Da Villa and Petra Funk from astudio with Gemima Walker and Jessica Mill from Elliott Wood spent an afternoon with 24 girls from The Kingston Academy, Latchmere Primary and Fern Hill Primary speaking about roles and responsibilities in architecture and engineering, presenting our work at The Kingston Academy and running creative workshops. The immersive workshops explored the roles of the client, designer and builder within a design project, and alternative designs for a central area of The Kingston Academy redevelopment.
